Helpful resume tips

Your resume is your first opportunity to set yourself apart from other applicants. To make the most of this introduction, consider the following suggestions:

  • Use a font that is professional and easy to read.
  • List all employers within the past 10 years, with the most recent listed first. Please include company name, your position title, dates of employment and a brief description of responsibilities and achievements.
  • When noting higher education, include the degree earned, your graduation date (or expected graduation date), including month and year, minor (if applicable) and GPA.
  • Proofread your resume thoroughly for spelling and grammatical errors.
