Find out answers to questions about your Visa® Debit Card, Gift Card and iDesign Card.

Visa® Debit Card

If you received your debit card directly from a MidFirst banking center, it does not require activation. If you received your debit card in the mail, you will need to activate it by calling 855.858.1035.

If you know the existing PIN, you can call 855.858.1035 to change your PIN. If you do not know the existing PIN, please call 888.MIDFIRST (888.643.3477) to request your PIN be mailed to you or to locate a banking center that can assist in changing your PIN on-site.

Most MidFirst Bank consumer debit cards are eligible to be enrolled in Digital Wallets, including Apple Pay®, Google Pay™, Samsung Pay and Garmin Pay. Visit our Digital Wallet page to learn more about these services. Business debit, HomeLine and ATM cards are not currently eligible to be enrolled in Digital Wallet services.

If you are traveling, either domestically or internationally, you can use the Card Controls function on your MidFirst Bank Mobile App which allows you the ability to set up regions when traveling with your card. Once a region is established, the card can immediately be used within the defined area without having to call and complete a travel notification. Please visit our Card Management page for more information on using Card Controls. If you do not use the MidFirst Bank Mobile App and are planning to travel, please call 888.MIDFIRST (888.643.3477) within 30 days of your departure date.

If your MidFirst Bank debit card has been lost, stolen, or has any unauthorized activity, contact us immediately at 888.MIDFIRST (888.643.3477). You can also use the Card Controls function on your MidFirst Bank Mobile App to immediately disable the use of your card. MidFirst Bank uses a series of risk-monitoring tools to help fight debit card fraud. We assess the risk potential of each debit card transaction before it is approved. With a few precautions, you can be confident using your debit card in person, online, or by phone. We have several tips you may review on our Debit and Credit Card Security page that can aid in avoiding fraud and identity theft.

You can create a debit card that is one of a kind as long as your image complies with MidFirst Bank's Image Guidelines. To design your own debit card, please visit the iDesign Debit Card page and follow the instructions. Please note, iDesign debit cards are not currently available for business or commercial accounts or in the Colorado market.

Gift Card

No, your gift card is a prepaid debit card. You can only spend the funds available on the gift card. Once those funds are gone, the gift card is no longer available for use.

It is similar to a debit card in that you can spend the available funds on the card like you can spend available funds in your checking account; however, there is no checking account attached to your gift card and it cannot be used at an ATM or to get cash back from a merchant.

Yes, you must activate your gift card by calling 800.710.4795 and selecting your PIN. The gift card cannot be used until it has been activated.

You can check your available balance and transaction history by calling 800.710.4795.

Gift cards issued in Oklahoma and Colorado may be assessed a $5 monthly fee after 12 consecutive months of inactivity. Gift Cards issued in Arizona do not incur any fees.

There is a $3.75 ($3 in Colorado) purchase fee for each gift card.

After activating your gift card, you can use it to make a purchase with your selected PIN or with only your signature.

Yes, the three-digit security code can be found embossed on the back of the gift card at the end of the signature panel.

Yes, you must select a PIN upon card activation. Please note that the PIN is not necessary to complete a transaction and does not enable the card to be used at an ATM or to receive cash back at participating merchants. 

Your MidFirst Bank Gift Card is accepted anywhere Visa® is accepted with the following few exceptions: airlines, hotels, car rental facilities, ATMs, and some websites.

Yes, your gift card should work on most websites. If the retailer requires name or address verification, use MidFirst Bank as the name and 73162 as the zip code. 

No, your gift card will not work at pay-at-the-pump. You may use your gift card at gas stations, but you must pay at the register inside the store.

If your purchase is less than the balance on your gift card, the remaining balance is stored and will be applied toward your next purchase.

Yes; if the purchase exceeds the gift card's balance, you may use other forms of payment to satisfy the total cost of the purchase. Note: You must provide your card's available balance to the merchant; otherwise, it will be declined.

If your gift card is denied at a restaurant, it could be that the authorization amount exceeds your card balance. Please inform the merchant of your gift card balance to assist in processing the transaction.

Once the gift card balance has been used, it no longer has value and will be denied. Please discard the card.

Yes, your gift card will expire on the last day of the month listed on the front of the gift card.

If you are having problems using your gift card, please call 800.710.4795 for assistance.

If your gift card is lost or stolen, call MidFirst Bank as soon as possible at 800.710.4795 to request a replacement gift card. You will need your card number, and a $10 replacement fee will be deducted from the remaining balance of the gift card. Replacements for gift cards purchased in Arizona will not incur a replacement fee.

No, your gift card cannot have a negative balance.

No; additional funds may not be added to the gift card. Once the available funds are spent, the gift card is no longer available for use.

iDesign

It is just like a normal debit card, except you get to choose the photo or image that appears on the card. You can create a debit card that is one of a kind as long as your image complies with MidFirst Bank's Image Guidelines.

To design your own debit card, please visit the  iDesign Debit Card page and follow the instructions. Please note, iDesign debit cards are not currently available for business or commercial accounts or in the Colorado market. 

You will need an eligible MidFirst Bank checking account in order to create a customized debit card. Please visit the Personal Checking Accounts page to learn more about MidFirst Bank checking accounts.

Most MidFirst consumer checking account holders can design their own debit card through MidFirst iDesign; however, Business and Commercial debit cards are not eligible at this time. MidFirst iDesign is also not currently available in the Colorado market.

Yes; each individual cardholder may customize his or her own debit card on eligible MidFirst checking accounts. 

MidFirst Bank will notify you by email if the submitted image is not approved. In most cases, it may be as simple as re-selecting an image that is not trademarked or under copyright protection. You will not be charged for declined images. 

No, you can change your debit card image as often as you like; however, you will be charged a $5 fee each time MidFirst Bank issues you a new debit card. Please ensure you change your card number on any auto payments linked to your debit card and deactivate and cancel any previous cards by calling 888.MIDFIRST (888.643.3477) or visiting any banking center. 

No; your new card will have a different card number. If your debit card number is set up to automatically pay bills or transfer money, you will need to make sure the new card number is used instead of the previous card number.

You are responsible for deactivating and destroying your previous debit card. You should also be sure the new card number is used instead of the previous card number on any automatic bill payments using the debit card.

You can have your debit card linked to other eligible accounts by calling 888.MIDFIRST (888.643.3477) or visiting any banking center.
